It was a frustrating winter as the snow and my riding time never quite aligned. But when I went for an extended ride the sled slowly went downhill. Previously I'd been dealing with bog conditions and issues on that front. So I'm sort of curious if this is related in one way or another.
During the periods of bogging I experimented with clutch setups. The bog always came after a long period of constant throttle. So I'd be going 45 MPH and I'd want to jump on it, but it would bog instead. So I tried higher changing the components in a way to gain a higher backshift on the secondary. However it just moved what speed the bog would occur.
On the trip, the bogging got slightly worst, but it was still rideable. But when I shut off the sled for long stops and what not it would start very difficult. And it got worst as it went along, until finally after a stop I started it up and got going, and suddenly it bogged to a stop. Now being as anal as I am I had all the tools to fix it or iagnose it on hand. So I started looking at it. I had 12.5v on the battery, which is good. I had spark, which is good. I checked the relays to make sure they were switching. They were not? So I was a little confused because they were getting power. They also had a good ground according to my DMM. So I turned it on and disconnected it and made sure it was getting 12v and if memory serves me I was not.
