well finally got some updates on the sled now. since there isnt any snow i have been doing some work. frist came the new track. i had the stock track on still, and it was about luggless. so i up graded to a camoplast 6 pitch preditor, 1.25". all was well other then the tunnle protectors rubbed so i had to clip the track some.
next came a new headlight. i got a bluhm 55/100 watt xenone. it has a nice blue color, and the high beam is a nice improvemnt. but with it came a problem. every time i hit the brakes the headligh would dimm. so came my next mod. an led tail light conversion. was pretty painless once i figured out what bulbs i needed.
i used two wide angle 5 led bulbs for the out side running lights.
next for the brake light i was goning to use a 9 led bulb, but to find out it was not as brigh as a narrow beam 5 led.
this did fix my headlight problem, and looks cool
then the next thing to be replace was the crappy beat up old steel skis. i looked for the cheapest ones i could find, then looked up some information on them. i found the camoplast skis for cheap, total set cost me about $210. some articles i read say that they are one of the strongest skis out, and perform well.
man o man what a differnce. i havent got to take them out on snow yet, but in the grass even the steering force required is next to nothing. and it steers very well on the grass. also the weight loss is a nice extra.
well i finally decided to get a dg can for the sled since there is no snow to ride on. i got it form
www.Hiperf.com
for $139. it is alot smaller then the stock can. it sounds great compaired to stock.
here is the old can and pipe befor i painted it.
here is the new DG can
finall here is what it looks like on the sled, soon ill get a compairson between the two pipes.
