The making of my own lightweight seat
When I took it off the sled I weighed it and got:
18 lbs
.
What will I do to it?
I am going to hollow out the middle to reduce weight and the amoutn of foam to absorb water.
What am I replacing the foam with?
Pool floating noodles! I got the idea from a guy on snoWest and it makes perfect sense. They weigh NOTHING, they are very firm which will make good for a seat that I barely sit on anyways, and also they will not hold water, speeding up the drying process exponentially if the seat gets wet again which I'm sure it will.
So heres why I will like it:
Its custom and I call it my own, its lighter, it wont hold water like it used to, and it looks stock.

The Finished Product!
Final weight is 8 lbs, not bad I dont think. Plus it is much firmer now and still looks stock. I'm really excited about how it came out, especially with it being so firm!
