Other than that this sled is in pretty good condition and requires little work to get going. I already have the shock, windshield, and a spare belt ordered. The skis are already replaced by a pair we had hanging around from when my brother swapped over to the SLP Ultra Lite skis. So the work has already started to bring this sled back up to running condition. Don't expect drastic changes this year, but I do have some plans for when my money situation becomes better.

Well, as of this date I have done nothing else. The sled is up north at my dad's land and I haven't been able to get up there. But, I've begun to look for parts to convert to carbs. Hoping to find some deals early in the season.
10/31/05
The sled came home yesterday, so I got a chance to work on it a little bit. I did a compression check on all three cylinders. Classic hold the throttle open and pull it over three times.
-Pto=120 psi
-Center=120 psi
-Mag=80/90 psi
So the deal we got is about to become slightly more expensive depending on the damage. I'll be pulling the head off today to see what the deal is. But, there are usually 3 possible problems.
1. Bad Rings/Scoring
2. Bad piston/Scoring on the sleeve
3. Crank Seal
Continued in Rebuild Journal.
1/4/06
Well a new year and some riding. Remember that bent trailing arm, well is started to break and I caught it before it did and ordered a new one. I got that on there today and plan to do the fading breaks tomorrow.
1/5/06
I replaced the brake pads and may have to bleed them, but they seem a little better, I may have to tighten the two bolts that come out of the chaincase cover.
Anyway I think I've gone throught pretty much the whole sled. Here's a list of things I've gone through.
1. Motor
(Rebuild, took it down to the crank and built it back up)
2. Primary Clutch
3. Secondary Clutch
4. Rear Suspension
5. Front Suspension
6. Chaincase
7. Brake Caliper
8. Throttle Bodies
9. Electrical
Only thing I need to replace now is the seat. God dang tear! Then the sled will be good as new!
Things unique about the sled...
[*]Mag side is a .020 overbore.[/*]
[*]Mag side had a siezure.[/*]
[*]Center Cylinder had a cracked piston skirt. [/*]
[*]New Track[/*]
[*]Person who owned the sled before was running .010" over in .020" over bore. Errrr![/*]
