3-10-07

Not much new to report at this time. I am in the process once again of getting a better looking site up and running for GS Motorsports.

I am also looking at selling T shirts and bumper stickers for the July 21st show, details and prices coming soon.

2-26-07

Looks like we have a set date for the Mud Run and Truck Rodeo at Freedom:

July 21st 2007

This is a Saturday show.

The format will be SCORR and Jalopy cars on either our front ATV TT track or on our old off road track at 1 pm then a 1/2 hour intermission, around 3:30 pm, which will include a Burnout Pit and a dB Bass off compitition. If the SCORR race is on the front track then the Burnout Pit will use the existing cement pad in the infield of the stock car track, if SCORR rus our back track we will set up the steel plate in the grandstand parking area next to the big tree. The Bass off will be held in our Grandstand area of the front track if SCORR runs the front track, and it will be next to the Burnout Pit by the tree if it is run on the back track. Confused? Don't worry I will have many helpers this year so we will make sure everyone goes to the right area.
After the halftime show we will be having our Mud Bog portion of the show. I want to give everyone as many runs as possible so we will be looking at two runs at least thru both pits with the big tired trucks running three times, once in the Mud Puppy to open the show and twice thru the Big Dawg. I am also looking at letting anyone who takes the Good Ole Boy Challenge (the bounty run thru the Big Dawg) take a free run thru the Mud Puppy first.

Other news concerning GS Motorsports

Well the Lightning Explorer has been traded for another Mustang GT so a bit more focus this year will be getting the drag car done.

Also Road Runner should be gone before racing starts. Have a couple interested parties in the car. Keep an eye out for a new car that I am building.

Some Assembly Required is still alive and kicking and it looks like I will do mostly bogs this year.

I find it easier to keep track of the Jalopy cars if I'm not driving one, but if I get a good crew running the race, I'll strap in and race again.

I have also started talking to interested people that are going to be joining GS Motorsports, look for the shirts at any events I will be going to, to get more info on where we will be, and what events are coming up. Looks like we could have close to 12 people joining in.

Also spoke with Jesse out at Grove Grog and he has decided to take a year off from running anything at his place. This could just be the winter blues talking so more info on this when the season gets closer.

I will post up the Friday night Jalopy car schedule once we know for sure the dates. Should know more March 2- 4 at the Olean Mall show.

Dates that GS Motorsports will be at:

May 12 - 13 Grove Grog tenitive

May 28 or 29 Wallington-- Rochester, NY area

July 1 Farmersville tenitive

July 21 Freedom

July 29 Farmersville tenitive

October 6 - 7 Grove Grog tenitive

We will also be at Holland for the Import, Burnout, Bass off show, not sure of the date

We will be making as many trips as possible to Shred and Regans Cruise nites

Also look for us running the 1/4 mile at NYIRP.com with the Mustang and also a few trips to Lancaster Motorsports Park for some 1/8 mile runs.

There are also mud runs up in Penfield held by the Barnyard Boggers that I will be heading up to but their dates are not released yet.

All tenitive dates are due to scheduling conflicts, we will be there when we know when the exact dates are.
1-18-07

Things have been a bit slow this time of year so the site has not been updated often.

News for the 2007 season.

Working on all the details for the July Mud Run. Contacted SCORR and have worked out a deal that if the track owner likes, we will be seeing them for the July show also which will be awesome to have all their high Horsepowered trucks to cap off this amazing show. They will also let us know of any tracks that the Jalopy cars can also run at for halftime.

Jalopy car schedule is still a bit up in the air, have a few definate dates but am still working on a few more, would like to see 8 - 10 races for the 2007 season.

Also looking at dropping Registration fee for the cars and have it be a trophy only class. This has been suggested by a few drivers and I think it is an awesome idea. I would also like to build a V-6 or V-8 rear wheel drive car or truck for the 2007 season.

I will also like to keep track of all the races that the cars run, give points for each, and allow one dropped race at the end of the year. This will just be a guide to let everyone know how well they are doing and we will award the champion at the end of the season.

I am going to talk with the owner of Freedom Raceway about a Enduro/Demo for the end of the year, around mid Sept.

Also heard that the truck track in Perry will be closed for the 2007 season and reopen with an all new track for 2008. I will be setting up a meeting very soon to see if there can be a Mud Bog/ Jalopy car race there in 2007 on the old track. If things work out maybe we can see some more shows there.

I will post all the dates and locations that I know around the area for Trucks and Jalopy cars so everyone has an idea of what is going on this season.

Also am going to contact Mr. Mud to see if there will be an R rated show at Freedom this year and if there are any shows that they have where the Jalopy cars can run also.

I am hoping to have everything all buttoned up by the first of Febuary so it can all be added to the schedules.

The July Mud Run format will be similar to last year. Looking for a Sat date instead for 2007.

This is all tenitive but this will be the format:

1PM SCORR/Jalopy Cars
3:30 Halftime show Burnout Pit and dB Bass Off

4PM Mud Bog Show - Mud Puppy and Big Dawg - Barrel Racing Car Crushing - Tug a War - and an all new event TBA at the race

8PM Live Music

I am looking for a band, Country Western or Classic Rock, if you are interested in playing or know any one that may be, please contact me at 716-353-1295.

I also went to the January SMUDDERS meeting to see how everyone is doing. Looks like they are doing well and there are talks of them building a race truck to compete in some shows. Sounds great!

I also met the owner of WNYOffroad.com at this meeting and will hopefully be getting more info on some of their runs this year.

10-25-06

Had fun out to the Grove Grog on the 8th, some new pics and a new video are posted on my Myspace account.

Also was a great time at the Jalopy car banquot on the 14th, some fun awards were given out. It was nice seeing everyone recapping the years events and mishaps. Makes me wish we still had more races for this year so everyone could still have some fun.

There are most likely going to be some changes to next year, some rules, payouts and registration moneys, tracks. Everything is just thoughts right now mind you, but with everyones input we should be able to make this class really big.

I am also looking for a couple cars to enter in the Olean Mall stock car show in the beginning of March. If you are interested in building a nice clean show quality car for this show please let me know ASAP, we will help out in any way to get it looking nice.

Also if anyone has some nice, good quality pics from last year let me know, I'm thinking of throwing together some Calanders for next year including the dates and tracks that the races will be at.

Also for any new drivers or new cars that are being built for next year, please get in touch with me at 716-353-1295 so we can take a look at your car to make sure it is safe and follows the rules.

On the 8th out to Grove Grog I did speak briefly with Jesse about building an oval style track at his place to run twice a year, Mudders day and the Fall Pumpkin Crush. Its not to bad of a haul to get there and there wont be really a structured time table at the event, kinda start at 2 or 3 take an intermission then run the feature. For those who have been there, it is always been a free for all fun time, so trying to add a structured program like the race cars might be tough, but I do see the potential for alot of interest from the truck guys that do go there to build a car for a couple of the races.

I would like to set up a meeting in January to discuss rules, tracks, and just about anything else so we can get a good start on next years racing. If anyone does have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know and we will discuss them at the meeting.

Also would like to start up a monthly meeting to keep everyone up on what is new and just to get together with everyone. I was thinking maybe someplace in Holland, kinda a middle point. You can bring new people to these meetings to get them into the sport. Perhaps look at a middle of the month meeting on a Sat night or sunday afternoon.
10-06-06

Mud races at the Grove Grog are still on for the 7th AND 8th!!
I will be there on the 8th with the Blazer.

Jalopy car banquet will still be held on October 14, 2006 bring a dish to pass and a friend it will be a costume party!
Dinner is at 6p.m. awards at 8p.m
We will have pizza, wings or maybe roast beef, chips, dip, cheese, pepperoni, crackers, brownies, chicken wing dip.
R.S.V.P. Eric at (716)353-1295 or Paula at (716)353-0239 A.S.A.P.
I hope to see everyone there 9-23-06

Had a blast at the Farmersville Mud Races. I ran three different classes that day, Stock Mud Bog with the Blazer, Stock Tuff Trucks with the Explorer, and Jalopy car races with the Acclaim.

Let me tell ya it was a very busy day!!

I would like to congradulate Joe Bieber for taking the win at Farmersville, which was our last points race. Joe was leading the points going in and with the win clinched the 2006 Jalopy car point Championship.

I myself managed to pull out a heat win and was leading the feature for the jalopy cars when a CV joint let loose and ended the day for the "Road Runner".

I took home top honors in the Mud Bog by only 4" with "Some Assembly Required". It was the trucks first compitition run and it performed great!

I took home a 3rd place in the stock Tuff Trucks with "Lightning", also a first compitition run for this truck. The best part is all it needs is a good washing and it still looks like the day I finished the paint on it, no broken parts or bent anything.

I will be making the trip to Fairport this Sunday the 24th to watch the Barnyard Boggers play at the farm. Alot of BIG trucks in that group. Should be a great time.

Be sure to check the My Rides link for a few pics from Farmersville. I will be adding a bunch more to the Photo Gallery as soon as I get a few free minutes to weed through all the pics.

I will also be updateing the final Jalopy ar points very soon and giving more details for the Banquet.
9-15-06

[size=6]RACES ARE CANCELLED [/size=6]

They will be rescheduled for Friday, September 22
same time same proceedure

FARMERSVILLE WILL BE A POINTS RACE

The Jalopy races at Freedom Raceway are still on as of 8am.

Looks like it will be a great day for some racing.

Everyone will enter the pits entrance and sign in at that booth.
if you have any questions ask at this booth. I will try to have a GS Motorsports official there to help out, but the workers in the booth will also be able to tell you anything you need to know about where to park and where to draw. They wont know laps or how the track will be run, that will be addressed at the drivers meeting and pill draw.

After you enter the pits you need to go to the booth by the food concession and picnic table in the pits for your starting position pill draw and what heat you will be running. They will also let us know what order the classes will be run in so be sure to be ready and watch the other classes running. Everyone will need to line up in the lineup chute when their class is called. Be sure to line up in the order you will run in the race so it makes it easier for the on track officials and scorers.

As of right now we will run the whole infield track looping in on the front and back straights. I am unsure if there will be a photographer but if there is you can get a pic on the front straight after the race is completed.

Heats will be 6 laps and feature 15 laps.

I will also be running the new car I bought for this race.

Also dont forget about Farmersvilles mud races on Sunday the 17th.

There will be Jalopy races along with a mud bog.

I will be bringing 2 trucks and 1 car myself to run in 4 different events so I should be running around non stop and lost all day.

9-8-06

September 10 - Race is CANCELLED

September 15 - We will still be racing. The car and driver must enter the pits it will cost you $25 to enter $15 out of your enterance will go to the purse up to $100 will go to the winner. Anyone besides the driver going into the pits will be an additional $25 or our grandstand enterance fee is $10. Driver's meeting and draw will be no later than 6:30 p.m.
I hope to see everyone there.

Also Saturday, October 14, 2006 will be our banquet for the Jalopy driver's and thier families location to be announced at a later time. With Halloween just around the corner plan to dress up.

8-28-06

We have been busy getting the new truck (Lighting) ready for the upcoming off road races that S.C.O.R.R. is putting on.
For the most part it is all set, only a few minor details that need to be addressed.

I was all set and loaded to head over to Wyoming County International Speedway on Sunday the 27th, but Ma Nature decided to rain on the parade and the race was cancelled.

I will be taking the truck to The Shredd and Regan car cruise at the Summit Park Mall this Wednesday the 30th. The next mud show for the truck will be on Sept 10th at Freedom Raceway's S.C.O.R.R. show along with the "Jolly Roger" Jalopy car. Sept 17th will be S.C.O.R.R.'s Farmersville race and I plan on bringing over "Lighting" for the tuff trucks, "Jolly Roger" for the Jalopy Races, and "[purple]Some Assembly Required[/purple]" for the Mud Bogs. If they have Drag Races I will enter the "[limegreen]Titanic[/limegreen]" and see if she can bring home another trophy.

I have updated the PHOTO GALLERY link and moved a few pics to the new MY RIDES link. There you will get a few more pics and a bit of history on my trucks and cars as I build and race them for the remainder of the year.
8-20-06

Had a blast Friday night at Freedom. Want to congradulate Steven Schmitter for the win. He and Joe Bieber fought it out really good lap after lap.

We had a total of 7 cars show up to play (including me) and alot of interest in the class by spectators.

I did drive the #66 car but with only about 1 hour to prepare the car before the race didnt leave enough time to work out any of the bugs, like the hole in the radiator. The car was overheating before we even got on the track. We took the green and it died. Everyone was approaching the 1/3 mark around the track before I even got going. I managed to catch and pass one car and on the next lap the car was too hot and shut down. I had a great time running with everyone so on the Sept 10 SCORR show I will have the car all set and be out there playing with everyone else, hopefully for more then 3 laps.......pics coming soon

Power wheels races will be on the card for this next Friday at Freedom Raceway, Aug 25th.
8-16-06

Jalopy Car Races at Freedom Raceway Friday Aug 18th 7:30 PM
For directions to the track visit FreedomRaceway.com.

To all Jalopy car teams, addmission will be $10 and parking will be in the Grandstand area. Would like everyone there between 6:00 - 6:30 PM. You will be racing for a trophy only, but trust me it will be really nice!! I had a chance to walk the track yesterday and have decided that the race will be run on the ATV TT track and looped back in on the back straight away. Tha start will still be under the flagstand and the last lap will run the entire track including the front table top jump. Confused yet? If you have any Questions let me know at the drivers meeting at 7:15 PM Friday night.
Who knows I may be driving a car also.....

New news with Getting Sideways Motorsports, I bought a '91 K-5 Blazer at the July 16th show and bolted on some 36.5's, trimmed some fenders and took her wheeling in the Mud Puppy bog at Freedom on the 6th and made three full runs, on the last run I decided not to even bother with the pull out cable, it went through that nicely. The only trucks that made it all the way through on the July 16th show were the big trucks, 44" tires and bigger. We had one Chevy that made it to the end but got stuck at the very end that was classified as a smaller truck (I think he had 42's but am unsure). Can't wait to take her wheeling elsewere, looking at a couple different events around the Rochester area at the end of the month. We will see. pics are in the photo gallery and a video is up at myspace.com/gsmotorsports.

Also got the '94 Explorer and started on the paint. No before pics but it was just a plain old maroon Explorer, during and after pics will be in the photo gallery as I finish it up this week. Hoping to have it done so I can pace the races at Freedom this Friday. Thanks to Jim for donating the truck and Impact Signs and Graphics for the graphics. Also Paula, Haley and DJ for helping with the paint.

Well I am thinking of running the #66 Jalopy car that I had painted up for a display car, will have to see if I can find a flagman if I do. Also have a Ford Taurus wagon that could be run, just needs to be completed and some TLC if anyone is interested in driving one of these cars, maybe offer it up to a spectator that night?

7-16-06

Wow what a show at Freedom Today.

The "Big Dawg" was just as expected, TOUGH!!

Lloyd Twitchell with Low Rider was the only truck to make it through the center of the pit.

Eric Lewis with Gumby made it through also but took the side route to the smaller bog during his attempt.

Norman Burkett Jr. and Mud Twister sounded awesome but didn't have enough to make it through the Dawg.

The Drag Trucks were one of the first events we ran and boy did the crowd love it!!

Mark P and Junkie II ran first with Kerry S and Sledgehammer running second and we ran Kelly O and Under Pressure last and I don't think there was a single disappointed spectator when he lit up his truck!!

The Burn out pit and Bass off had alot of participants and took a little longer to run then expected but when Eric L blow the tires off his 1980 Camaro, it made it all worth while.

Thanks to all the teams that showed up and played in the mud. You all did an A++ job out there.

Pics and Vids will be up soon....

I will get a full run down of everyone that ran as soon as I get all this paper work in order.

Once again a BIG thank you to all the teams and drivers that came out and to all the spectators that showed up. Seeing everyones reaction to the show made all the long hours well worth it.

I also entered two events myself, burnout and bass off.

I didnt do to well wth the Mustang in the Burnout, but was really Impressed with the stereo system in the Explorer. One single 12" against multible larger subs, and I pulled 132.1 to tie for second on the first run.

I gave everyone a second run to fine tune their systems and I was just edged out by a 132.8 for second and a 133.8 by Wade Bigham who took the win. I didnt make a second run or any adjustments, so come the next show the other 12" will be hooked up and I will adjust the amps for max power.

Also the Tuff Trucks will be run side by side. Winner to advance to run against the other winners from the first round. First round losers will run each other to determine the fast loser. Stop watch will be started when the green flag drops and will record only the first truck to cross the finish line. In the event that there is a tie for most wins, 1st place will be decided by fastest combined time from all three runs.

Also if you are doing a search for directions the address for the track is 11099 Marble Springs Rd Delevan, NY 14042, but for some reason it puts you a mile down the road on Mapquest, so try 11240 Bixby Hill Rd Delevan, NY 14042 and that will give the exact location. There will be a sign on Rt 39 just outside of Arcade NY. Be sure to be in the left lane as you will be making a left turn coming from Arcade onto Bixby Hill Rd just before Crabb Oil And Propane Gas Station. The track is about 5 miles up on the right hand side. Turn in at the Mud Race sign and follow the signs in the parking lot.

I'll be sure to make any corrections in the direction side bar link.

7-8-06

First I would like to say Happy Birthday to my daughter, Haley, who turned 7 today. Few more years and she will be wheeling a truck around the mud...

Well we have been working on our "Big Dawg" mud bog today and more tomarrow to get it all set for the 16th show.

Also to check out some of the trucks that will be coming out to play check out www.barnyardboggers.com.

I have finally updated the Jalopy points.

Heat winners at our last race were Wayne Solly and Joe Bieber.

Feature winner was Bill Solly.

Thanks to all the drivers that have been running with us this year. You have no idea how much I appreciate the support.

The show on the 16th will not be a points race. We will be running it like all the races this year so far, $15 reg 100% payback.

I have also added a message board link, it is still a work in progress so bear with me on this one....

6-26-06

First I would like to say that I am a proud daddy again, Deveraux James Winkelman was born Sat June 17th at 1:40 AM.

I would like to say thanks to the Barnyard Boggers for coming out and playing in our swamp yesterday. It looks like we will be running a side by side mud bog for our July 16th St Jude Research Hospital Mud Run For A Cure. We will also be featuring Truck Tug-A-War, car crushing, Jalopy cars and much much more. I will be adding a side bar link with a flyer and also details about the show.

6-15-06

If you are here you may have been redirected to this site by my other site, mudthis.com. That site will be its own entity soon, I am just looking for the time to actually sit down and make it an awesome site and easy to navigate through.

Anyways, the R rated NAMRA event went really well Sunday at Freedom. A few trucks showed up and put on a great show for the 300 plus people that attended. We had 8 Jalopy cars with Steven Schmitter picking up both a heat and the feature win. Chet P. was are other heat winner.

I took home 2nd place in the drag class with a 6.67 in 200'.

First place ran a 6.56 and third place was a 6.68. It was some close racing!!

We also had a few trucks show up at the Grove Grog this past weekend. I was unable to make it but was told it was alota fun for everyone that went.

I am hoping to make it to the Farmersville Mud Races this Sunday the 18th, but I may be a daddy again this weekend also so I may have to postpone the trip out to Farmersville until later this year. There will be another race held there in August or September. I spoke with the land owner a bit the other day and will be making another trip there to work out some details on a GS Motorsports show this summer yet. More to come on that later.

Also had a chance to finally work on Winter Beater and got her running. Needs a little tinkering and alota body work but will hope to debut at the Smudders show on July 16th for the show and shine.
6-4-06

Wow its been a busy month getting everything together for the season. I have finally got time to update the site.

Mudders Day at the Grog was GREAT!! Alot of different trucks and clubs showed up all weekend. Check the picture section for some pics and also http://www.myspace.com/gsmotorsports for a new video.

The race at Freedom didnt quite have the truck count we hoped for but it turned out to be a good show anyways.

The obstical trucks ran the new track and the design looks like it will work perfect.

We held a ton of drag races and had a group from the Elma-Marrilla-Wales area show up with some HUGE trucks that ran the drags with us. I'm still working on the video for this but as soon as it is done will be at http://www.myspace.com/gsmotorsports also. Be sure to look for my Explorer "Titanic" running in the drags.

We had 11 Jalopy cars show up and they put on an awesome show.

Heat winners were Steven Schmitter and Wayne Solly.
Feature winner was Joe Bieber of Machias. Check out the new jalopy link for point standings.

Also be sure to check out all the new pics on the pic page.

Next event to find us at is the June 11th R rated show at Freedom Raceway. www.FreedomRaceway.com. This is a non-points race for the Jalopy cars.

I would also like to add that we will be moving the site soon. Mudthis.com will be our new home soon. I will have a redirect link on both sites ASAP.

I have also added a new mud truck to the group, a 1993 Ford Explorer (pics coming soon). I am hoping to have it all set by the 11th show but if not it will be done for the June 18th show in Farmersville being put on by SCORR.
5/7/06

I have added a directions tab to the sidebar and also added a few more pics. I will be adding a few more links this week from different area mud race tracks, organizations, and clubs.

Don't forget to catch Getting Sideways Motorsports at Freedom Raceway on the Friday May 12 as we hold our first Burnout Comp. of the '06 season.

It is free to enter with addmission to the Friday Night races and is open to everyone.

For more info see the Contact Us sidebar tab.
5-2-06

Practice and tech day at Freedom on Sunday went real good, a few trucks and cars had some issues, but all in all the new track layout looks like it will work and be nice and muddy!

Don't forget to check out Getting Sideways Motorsports on Friday May 12 for the first Burnout Compitition of the season.

Also be sure to make it to the Grove Grog on May 13th for the Mudders Day show and the first round of the Barnyard 500.

After everyone was loaded up we had a meeting to discuss any further rule changes or procedures that will be changed for the races at Freedom this season. Looks like everything will stay pretty much the same, but if there are any changes I'll post them as soon as I know. Check out Smudders.com picture page link for some of the photos from this Sunday.
4/?/06

Be sure to check us out at the Franklinville Maple Fest parade 4-29 at 10 am.

Also just a reminder that tech and practice day are still on for Sunday 4-30 at Freedom Raceway. We plan on starting somewhere around 10 am.

Also don't forget Mudders Day at the Grove Grog, The Smudders will be there all weekend but the official race day is Sat. 5-13.
4-13-06

Added a few pics to the photo gallery and also a new link:
http://www.myspace.com/gsmotorsports . Check out the vids link under the profile pic and see what we did at the "Grog" on the 8th.
4-9-06

Had a great time down at Grove Grog yesterday.

I want to thank everyone that came down to have some fun in the mud !!

I will add a few pics to the photo gallery really soon, I have some great shots of the Five Corners Off Road Crew running around on the obstical course and some nice shots of the Smudders running over the jump.

The next event on the schedule will be the tech and fun day at Freedom on April 30th.

I made a lap around the track at Freedom after getting back from the Grog and she is muddy!!
3-26-06

First I want to add a rule, that we forgot, to the jalopy car rules:

19. Must remove exterior side mirrors.

This applies to all Jalopy classes.

Would also like to add that after a phone call to Eric Lewis of the Smudders last night, the Smudders got a few trucks together and came down for some fun on the race track last night. They were even able to fire up 3 of the trucks that were stored at the track from last year.

On the down side though, something always has to break or get broken. Well this trip out it was my Explorer, now named the "[limegreen]Titanic[/limegreen]".

I found out SUV's are not that great for off roading like we did last night.

One of the mud holes had filled with water and had a layer of ice on top. Well the ice was between 2" - 4" thick and the water was about 4' deep. My Truck plowed its way through and I noticed one of my headlights stop working then another...The one was smashed and the other was under water. 2' x 2' ice chunks were rolling off my hood as I pushed my way through the hole.

Check out the pic page for a couple pics we took, more to come today in the daylight.
3-17-06

Just added the rules to the rules link, still tweaking the jalopy rules.

Also added the classified link so email me anything you are looking to sell or buy to sixtysixgs@yahoo.com and if you have a pic send that also.

Due to the overwhelming spam in the guestbook, you will now need to login to post there.

On a more personal note, yesterday while moving equipment around at Fredom Raceway, I noticed something missing...My snowmobile!!

Someone decided they need it more then me and stole it. There are pics of it in the sleds link, it is the 1995 Polaris Indy Storm 800.

I was told someone had seen it being rode on the trails between Franklinville and Machias about a week ago when we had our last good snowfall.

Any help finding the sled in whole or parts would be appreciated, I just want to make sure the theif gets what they got coming to them, a nice stay in a barred room.

WOW!! Well it has been awhile since I have updated here, I have been without a computer for awhile and with everything else going on to get the 2006 season underway I haven't found the time to update from another computer.

First I would like to thank the Smudders for their help in the Arcade winterfest Parade, where Freedom Raceway had the biggest showing of any other group and took home top honors in the business class.

I would also like to thank Eric Lewis and the Smudders for getting a truck down to the Olean Center Mall for the stock car show. Congrats Eric on the first place win!!

I would have to say the mall show was a HUGE success!! The response was great and it looks like we will be seeing a few new faces this next year at some of the shows.

I would also like to add that we are looking for any other car shows or parades to show off what we have in store for 2006.

I am also adding a classified section to the links. You may either post want or for sale ads in my guestbook or email them to me at sixtysixgs@yahoo.com please put GS Motorsports in the subject line so I don't delete them.

I am also going to add a link for any organizations that would like to post their 4x4 related business or race track on this site. Also send these links to the above Email address.

I have added a link in the sidebar for rules for the various classes. These are still a work in progress for the trucks because we want to find an easy way to classify stock. As it looks right now there will be 4 classes for the obstacle course, 4/6 cyl stock, v-8 stock, street, and modified. Also as soon as the addmission prices are set in stone I'll be sure to post them.

Winter Beater will also be getting a bit different look then fist expected, going with black body and Lime green scallops. Painted part of the box and boy is it bright!! Now to just get it running......

Be sure to check back often as I will attempt to update this site daily.

The meeting with the Smudders last night went over well with a new added date to the Grove Grog schedule..April 8, 2006

The Blessing was discussed and an official name was decided on: First Annual St. Jude Truck Blessing and Mud Run

The float the Smudders are putting together had a few minor problems that they are working on, most likely as I type this, so it will be set for the parade during the Arcade Winterfest in Febuary. I like the ideas guys, should be an awesome float, like no one has ever seen before by the time you all are done with it.

GS Motorsports float is also being worked on this coming week.

"Winter Beater" made its way into the shop tonight, and after a little looking, over should be mostly done by the end of this week.

I want to thank the Smudders for my Birthday cake last night, my daughter loved it.

Be sure to check out the Photo Gallery Link for some new pics I added.
