I will be updating this page everyonce and a while on what i have done to the sled.

4/8/06: Went to my uncles house this weekend and gave him my manifold to weld for me. He's coming up north to visit for opening of walleye fishing in May and will have it done by then.

4/10/06: Took a wire brush and scraped as much rust off of the exhaust as i could and painted the exhaust with 1200 degree black BBQ paint. It looks pretty good. Also cut the windshield down about 3 inches. I'm going to cut some more off cause 3 inches wasen't enough. I took the dash apart and threw away most of it since it was all smashed, now all i need is the replacement i got on ebay and i can put it back together.



4/19/06: Got the dash part that i bought on ebay and cleaned it up and Put the rpm and speedometer gauge in it. I might have found a hood for 75 bucks so i havent put the dash back on to the cracked hood yet.

4/25/06: Today i cleaned the outside of the motor and the clutch cover with some brake cleaner.

5/5/06: Got my manifold back from my uncle he did a good job welding it up for me. Now i will paint it this week and try to get to the chaincase before i put it back together.

5/16/06: Painted manifold, let it dry then put it back on. Now all i need todo is do my chaincase maintance and then i can put the exhaust back together and fire it up.

8/8/06: Took chaincase apart and it looked good. Put it all back together and filled with new fluid.

My sisters wedding shower is this weekend and i have to move my sled out of the garage. I went to start it today to move it out of the garage and my battery was dead. i hooked it up to a charger and will check it tomorrow to see if the battery is shot or if it was just dead. Hopefully it was just dead.

8/10/06: Tried to start her up again today and battery didnt hold a charge so i gotta buy a new one.

10/24/06: Got a new battery and put it in, she started on the second pull. also fixed one of the cracks in the hood, well not really but made it a little bit more solid with 4 pop rivets and a peice of metal.


Also bought some trim for the windshield that i chopped down.

2/3/07: It's been awhile since my last update, and alot has happened. I found out one piston was going so a friend of my dads rebuilt the motor for me. Also the water pump went, got a used one at at J & R parts in Arbor Vitae. also got my custom decals put on and my windshield bag i got off of ebay. here are some new pics from my last ride. Also made my own hood vent kit with a chunk of wire fence.
