Dave's Sled Shed
About Me

I don't know what makes me think anyone will really read any of this, but I figured I'd do it anyway.

I guess, as Joe Walsh would say, "I'm just an ordinary, average guy." I have no claims to fame and I don't have a high powered job. In fact, my job is really uneventful. I work in a huge refrigerator as a shift supervisor. The warehouse I work in is a constant 35 degrees 24/7/365. All night long, I drive Jell-O snack cups around; putting them into racks for storage or removing them from racks to be shipped across the country. Like I said, it's really uneventful, but it pays the bills.

I am 36 years old and have been married for 9 years. I have two daughters that are 15 and 8; both of them have blonde hair and blue eyes (yes, I know I'm screwed when they get older). Right now the 15 year old keeps me on my toes with all of her male friends that are over at my house all the time. Top that with the fact that she has all the answers to everything and I'm just stupid and don't know a damn thing! Yeah, my life is great and I don't foresee myself going gray anytime soon --- note the hint of sarcasm?

I've only been riding sleds for about 5 years, but ever since the first ride, I've been addicted. It's my wife's fault! I swear! She is the one that told me I should buy it!! A friend of ours was in a financial bind, so she suggested that we buy their extra sled so that they could pay some bills. I really wasn't all that interested at first, but after the first day of riding I was really glad I bought it. Funny thing about it all, she told me I should buy it but now she complains every time I spend money on it! What's wrong with this picture??

Well, I guess that's about all that is important. I guess if you want to see what I look like, here is my scary mug, sporting my fancy SF.com T-shirt...

sitting on a 2006 Polaris Fusion 600 HO at the '06 Sneak Peek that was held in Shakopee, MN. Canterbury Downs. I made the mistake of test riding that sled while I was there... my wife had to drag me away from there. I tried to get her to let me strap that thing to the roof of her Saturn, but she wasn't really too thrilled about the idea.
